Okay, it snowed -- but not that much. We're still
on for our trip this morning, meeting at 8:45 in the

it ought to be beautiful ....
(4 Apr 2009)
NEW!
Remember: Shane (?), Sam, Cory,
Ariana, Joey: You guys are giving
talks on the field trip. But everyone
should come prepared (and awake)! I
was very pleased with our Meteor Crater
trip went -- that is the kind of engaged
involvement that makes our trips succeed.
Remember, the success of our field trip
depends on you. The Grand Canyon
is an amazing place -- let's be prepared
to appreciate it!
(3 Apr 2009)

The assignment for
lab #8 -- observations of the Earth's moon --

i.e., now.
(27 Mar 2009)
NEW!
Info on our
field trip to Meteor Crater is now available.
(26 Mar 2009)
NEW!
Our next field trip is this Saturday, March 28, to
Meteor Crater. I'll post the information for this lab and field
trip soon (probably by the end of the day on
Wednesday). Recall that participation is mandatory
and an important part of your grade for this
class. I would like you to be more engaged, more
interested, and more awake on this field trip.
This class only works if everyone prepares,
asks questions, thinks, and learns. It doesn't
work if you just sit back quietly and wait for
people to tell you things.
Fernando, Ellen, Michael, Nate, and Beau: you
are giving talks this weekend
(see here).
(25 Mar 2009)
NEW!
What to do in case of bad or
questionable weather? Check this
web page on Sunday morning. If there
is any change to our plans, I'll post
it here. (There is a forecast for snow
this weekend ....)

you like). You should have a 5-10 minute
presentation on your topic. Come talk to me
about this if you like.
(3 Mar 2009)
