NEW! Our next field trip is this Saturday, March 28, to Meteor Crater. I'll post the information for this lab and field trip soon (probably by the end of the day on Wednesday). Recall that participation is mandatory and an important part of your grade for this class. I would like you to be more engaged, more interested, and more awake on this field trip. This class only works if everyone prepares, asks questions, thinks, and learns. It doesn't work if you just sit back quietly and wait for people to tell you things. Fernando, Ellen, Michael, Nate, and Beau: you are giving talks this weekend (see here). (25 Mar 2009)

NEW! What to do in case of bad or questionable weather? Check this web page on Sunday morning. If there is any change to our plans, I'll post it here. (There is a forecast for snow this weekend ....) (3 Mar 2009)

You should have a ~1 page handout for everyone (I can help with copies if you like). You should have a 5-10 minute presentation on your topic. Come talk to me about this if you like. (3 Mar 2009)

NEW! I'm not in my office today (Friday). You can turn in your labs either under my office door, or else in my mailbox in the main department office.
