08:45 meet at meeting spot (see map)

09:00 sharp! depart for Meteor Crater

09:45 pull-off at freeway exit -- overlook of the area

10:00 arrive at Meteor Crater

10:15 walk out to central overlook. first talk: impact craters and the stratigraphy of Meteor Crater (Charles and Sean?)

10:45 walk to upper overlook. second talk: hazards from space (Ethan and Jessica)

11:00 meet next to giant meteorite inside. third talk: meteorites (Ryan and Mike)

11:15 visit museum

11:45 meet back at vans and depart Meteor Crater

13:45 arrive at Cameron trading post -- bathroom/food stop

14:00 Little Colorado River overlook. fourth talk: erosion and river channels (Cody and Kyle)

14:15 depart trading post

14:45 arrive GCNP (east entrance)

15:00 arrive Desert View Watchtower

15:15 fifth talk: GC stratigraphy (Rhiannon and ??)

15:30 sixth talk: history of the Colorado Plateau (Sharon and ??)

15:45 seventh talk: synthesis of field trips (DET)

16:00 depart Desert View Watchtower

16:30 bathroom/food stop in Cameron

16:45 depart Cameron

17:45 arrive campus meeting place
