Maps for Lab 3 (Sunset Crater)

Here is the map for Lab 3 (Sunset Crater). Go over to where Sunset Crater is and zoom in a little to look at the aerial view of the crater and lava fields. Pretty amazing! Look to see where we will meet at 8:45 am on Sunday, September 28 (same place where we met last time). You'll need to click on "Satellite" and zoom in to see exactly where to meet -- it is the parking lot between Buildings 21B and 22.

Driving directions (for van drivers and co-pilots):

  • Left out of parking lot.
  • Right onto Ellery.
  • Left onto San Francisco.
  • Right onto Route 66/Santa Fe avenue.
  • Follow signs for 89 North.
  • Take turnoff (to the right) for Sunset Crater.
  • Proceed to Bonito Lava Flow (left side).
  • After stop, proceed to Sunset Crater (right side).
