Telescopes

We observe KBOs with the 10-meter Keck I and Keck II Telescopes on the 14,000 ft summit of Mauna Kea, Hawaii. They are the largest telescopes in the world.

In addition, we use the 1.8 meter Vatican Advanced Technology Telescope (VATT) on the 10,000 ft summit of Mt. Graham, Arizona. The VATT is a state-of-the-art telescope that delivers excellent image quality.

We are now expanding our program to observe KBOs with the 6.5 meter MMT Telescope on the 8,500 ft summit of  Mt. Hopkins, AZ.
