Eligibility: In order to be eligible, students must be citizens or permanent residents of the United States or its possessions, and be enrolled in an undergraduate degree program. Students graduating in the spring of 2008 are not eligible. We particularly encourage the applications of women and underrepresented minorities.
Deadlines: The deadline for applications is February 1, 2008. The first offers will be made no earlier than March 1, and all positions will be filled no later than April 15.
Instructions for online applications :
(1) The application will contain the following questions:
(a) Write a one-page essay describing your experience, research interests and career goals.
(b) Why are you interested in the NAU REU program in particular?
(c) Describe your computer experience.
(2) As part of the application you will provide the name and e-mail address for at least two academic references. The application program will then send an e-mail to those persons; the e-mail will contain a secure link with which the person will submit the reference online. Please do not have your references sent directly to us; we really prefer them submitted through the online system.
(3) You must also provide a transcript of your undergraduate work, and the file must be either pdf or text format. We prefer a digitized copy, even if the copy is unofficial. However if you are unable to obtain such a version of your transcript, you must send an official transcript to the address provided below.
