Physics and Science Education Research Illustrated Through Three Projects

Abstract

Three separate projects that I've played major roles in will be discussed: (1) designing and assessing the effectiveness of computer-based, general physics labs; (2) the effectiveness of an instructional method for elementary education students; and (3) student authoring of three-dimensional illustrations in undergraduate biochemistry. Underlying theory and methods of science education research will be revealed while examining these projects.
