Teaching Teachers to Use Analogies:

Research Group

 

            In the summer of 2005, a group of six researchers met at NAU to plan a pilot study based upon encouraging results obtained in a previous study on the use of pedagogical analogies as tools to improve the science teaching performance of preservice elementary teachers.   The group implemented materials developed at the summer meeting in their respective methods courses in the Fall of 2004.  Preliminary results were shared at the AETS meeting in Colorado Springs in January of 2005.
